In the first episode of season 7 of Garage Squad, titled "Camaro Frankenstein," the crew takes on an ambitious project - a 1969 Chevy Camaro. The owner, Frank, has poured thousands of dollars into the car but it's still far from being road-worthy. The Squad sees potential in the Camaro, but there's a lot of work to be done if they want to turn it into a sleek and powerful muscle car.

As the episode starts, the Squad assesses the state of the Camaro. They quickly discover that the car has been poorly maintained, and much of the wiring has been improperly done, resulting in a litany of problems. The engine is in rough shape, and the transmission needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. Meanwhile, the suspension is shot and will need a complete overhaul.

The team quickly gets to work, taking the car apart piece by piece. They label and store each component carefully to ensure that they can easily reassemble the car down the line. As they start to piece together the engine, they realize that the heads have been installed incorrectly, causing major issues. The Squad has to remove the engine, re-machine the heads and reinstall everything with precision and care.

While the engine work drags on, the Squad turns their attention to the suspension and brakes. They decide to install a modern coilover suspension system, which will provide better handling and ride quality. Since they're upgrading the suspension, they also decide to upgrade the brakes to a modern disc brake system. Both upgrades will require significant modifications to the car's chassis and suspension mounting points, which the Squad takes in stride.

The final step of the rebuild is the paint and bodywork. The car's original green color is showing its age, with cracks and dings all over the body. The Squad decides to give the car a more modern look by painting it a sleek black. The bodywork takes weeks of sanding and shaping, but the end result is a smooth, curvy body that looks better than ever.

As the episode draws to a close, the Squad reassembles the car, taking care to ensure that everything is done correctly. They install new wheels and tires, and take the car for a test drive. The transformation is astounding - the car handles like a dream, the engine roars to life with a deep growl, and the new black paint job gleams in the sun.

In the end, the owner is ecstatic with the new version of his car. He never would have been able to complete the build on his own, and he's grateful to the Squad for helping him achieve his dream. The episode ends with the Squad packing up their tools and driving off into the sunset, ready for their next project.
