In Garage Squad season 4 episode 5, titled "Foul Fairlane," the team meets Dave, a car enthusiast and owner of a 1966 Ford Fairlane that has been sitting in his garage for over 15 years. Dave had originally purchased the car with the intention of fixing it up, but as life got in the way, the Fairlane became a forgotten project.
The team of mechanics, including Bruno Massel, Joe Zolper, and Heather Storm, arrive at Dave's home to assess the condition of the Fairlane. The car is in rough shape, with rusted body panels, a non-functioning engine, and a forlorn appearance that indicates years of neglect.
However, the Garage Squad team is determined to bring the Fairlane back to life and get it back on the road. They decide to replace the engine with a more modern and powerful Ford Coyote engine, as well as install a new suspension system, brakes, and exhaust.
The team also tackles the bodywork, removing the rusted panels and replacing them with new ones. They repaint the car in its original color, giving it a fresh and shiny look. They also install new wheels and tires to complete the overall transformation.
Throughout the episode, the team encounters some challenges, including a stubborn bolt that refuses to budge and a few surprises in the Fairlane's electrical system. But they work together to overcome these obstacles and bring the Fairlane back to its former glory.
At the end of the episode, Dave is presented with his newly restored Fairlane, and he is ecstatic. He takes it for a test drive and marvels at how smooth and powerful it feels. The Garage Squad team has not only restored a car but has helped revive a forgotten dream for Dave.
