In Game of Thrones season 6 episode 2, titled "Home," viewers continue to follow the various storylines established in the previous season. The episode opens with a glimpse of Bran Stark, who was absent for all of season 5, as he trains with the Three-Eyed Raven and experiences a vision of his father Ned Stark as a young man.

Elsewhere in Westeros, we see that Ramsay Bolton has consolidated power in the North in the wake of his father's death. He has captured Rickon Stark and intends to use him as a bargaining chip to keep the remaining Starks in check. Meanwhile, Jon Snow's body is still lying in the snow after his assassination at the end of season 5.

The majority of "Home," however, revolves around events in the Iron Islands and in King's Landing. At the Iron Islands, we see the first appearance of Euron Greyjoy, the charismatic rogue brother of Balon Greyjoy who has returned from years of exile. Balon himself is soon shown to be a victim of Euron's power grab, and his death triggers a tense succession crisis among the Ironborn. It becomes clear that Euron intends to not only claim the throne of the Iron Islands, but also to make a name for himself by taking on the looming threat of Daenerys Targaryen across the sea.

In King's Landing, Cersei Lannister continues to scheme and manipulate. She is still grieving the death of her daughter Myrcella, but is determined to remain a player in the game of thrones. With the support of her loyal knight Ser Gregor Clegane (now known as "the Mountain"), Cersei confronts the High Sparrow and makes a bold attempt to reassert her power.

Meanwhile, at the Wall, Davos Seaworth works to convince the remaining brothers of the Night's Watch to support Jon Snow's ally, the wildling Tormund, in the fight against the White Walkers. Melisandre, who promised Jon that she could bring him back from the dead, is also present. After some initial skepticism, the group decides to take a chance on bringing Jon back to life.

The climax of the episode revolves around this attempt to revive Jon Snow. After a failed first attempt, Melisandre's faith in her own powers seems to be shaken. However, at the last moment, something miraculous happens. The episode ends on a stunning note that sets the stage for the rest of the season.

Overall, "Home" is an episode that sets up the future conflicts of the series while also tying up some loose ends from previous seasons. It is not without its shocking moments, and promises more epic battles and surprising plot twists to come.
