Ep 14. Wolf in the Fortress

Miaka, Tamahome, and Hotohori travel to the fortress of Kutou's General, a beast-like man named Tomo. As they try to sneak in undetected, they encounter a group of warriors who have been sent to assassinate Tomo. Miaka convinces the warriors to let her and her companions handle the situation, promising to spare Tomo's life.
Once inside, they are able to find Tomo and engage in a battle with him and his minions. Tamahome and Hotohori fight off the soldiers while Miaka tries to reason with Tomo. She soon discovers that Tomo is under the control of the Beast God, but before she can do anything, Tamahome is captured by one of Tomo's minions.
Miaka and Hotohori continue to fight their way through the fortress, encountering more soldiers and traps along the way. Meanwhile, Tamahome is taken to the Beast God's chamber, where he is forced to fight in a brutal gladiator-style battle. Miaka and Hotohori eventually make it to the Beast God's chamber as well, where they face off against the God's minions.
In the end, Miaka is able to convince Tomo to break free from the Beast God's control, and he helps them defeat the remaining soldiers and minions. Tamahome is able to escape the gladiator arena and rejoin his companions. The group returns to their camp, where they reflect on their experiences and the challenges that still lie ahead.
