Not only the floors of the building stand between Edgar and Zezinho but also the interests linked to each social class. Confident that he's "healthy as a Viking", Edgar follows a perverse logic that the people must sacrifice themselves so that others (like him) can survive. He believes that reopening businesses and the resumption of economic activity is what matters most. Entertained by his graphics, gadgets and assorted beers, he appeals to the doorman's servile ways to go out and do his urgent shopping. Zezinho needs to circumvent Maria's virtual surveillance and his own fear to attend to Edgar, whom he admires with an opportunistic hint. For the couple, who doesn't have health insurance or a voucher for the pandemic, staying healthy is of utter importance. Maria stays home and since only one boss continues paying her daily wages, she sews protective face masks to sell and donate to the community. She can customize them if the customer wishes. The apparent friendship between doorman and resident will soon be tested. It's the final blow to this sardonic allegory about social inequalities that were highlighted by Covid-19 and that no mask is capable of covering up.
