In Full House season 1 episode 2, titled "Our Very First Night," the Tanner family is adjusting to their new living arrangement with Danny's brother-in-law, Jesse, and his best friend, Joey, living with them. The episode opens with Danny determined to make their first night together as a family memorable by planning a special dinner and a game night. But things don't go exactly as planned when the guys accidentally burn the dinner and Joey's crazy antics cause chaos in the house.
The episode starts with Danny trying to make the most of their first night together, and he decides to cook spaghetti for dinner. He enlists Jesse and Joey to help him in the kitchen, but their lack of culinary expertise quickly becomes apparent. The spaghetti is soon burned, and they're forced to order a pizza instead. Danny is disappointed that his plans for a special dinner have gone awry, but the family tries to make the best of it.
Meanwhile, D.J. is worried about starting a new school and making new friends, but Stephanie is excited about the prospect. Jesse tries to encourage D.J. by telling her about his own struggles starting a new school when he was her age. He advises her to just be herself and the friends will come. D.J. seems to take this to heart and decides to give it a try.
With dinner finished, the family gathers in the living room for game night. Joey picks the game, which turns out to be a wacky game show parody called "Donald Trump's Fun House," hosted by Joey himself. The game involves a lot of physical challenges and stunts, and chaos quickly ensues as the family competes against each other. Jesse becomes the unwitting victim of one of Joey's stunts, but the family rallies to make sure he's okay.
As the night winds down, Danny reflects on how much the family has gone through and how grateful he is to have his brother-in-law and best friend living with them. He tells them that he hopes they can all work together to build a happy and loving home for the girls. Jesse and Joey seem touched by Danny's words, and they all agree to make the most of their new living arrangement.
"Our Very First Night" is a heartwarming episode that highlights the importance of family and making the best of a less-than-ideal situation. Despite the challenges they face, the Tanners manage to come together and create new memories as they adjust to their new dynamic.
