From G's to Gents was a reality TV show that aired on MTV in 2008. The show was hosted by Fonzworth Bentley, with the assistance of two "G-man mentors," Michael Pericoloso and Andrew Kishino. The premise of the show was to take a group of men who were considered "G's" (gangsters) and turn them into "Gentlemen."

Each episode featured a series of challenges designed to teach the contestants the skills they needed to become gentlemen. These challenges ranged from etiquette lessons to physical fitness challenges to dress sense workshops. The challenges were based on the three core values that the show promoted - respect, responsibility, and etiquette.

At the end of each episode, one or more contestants were eliminated based on their performance in the challenges, as well as their overall progress in becoming a gentleman. The winner of the show received a cash prize of $100,000.

The contestants on From G's to Gents came from a variety of backgrounds, but all shared a common goal - to leave their "G" lifestyle behind and become better versions of themselves. Some of the contestants struggled more than others with the challenges presented to them, but all were determined to succeed.

Throughout the show, Fonzworth Bentley acted as a mentor and role model for the contestants. He shared his own experiences of growing up in the music industry and taught the contestants how to present themselves in a more refined and sophisticated manner. Bentley was a charismatic and engaging host, who was genuinely invested in helping the contestants achieve their goals.

Michael Pericoloso and Andrew Kishino, the two G-man mentors, were instrumental in guiding the contestants through the challenges. They were respected and feared by the contestants, due to their tough love approach to mentoring. Pericoloso and Kishino were both former gang members themselves, which gave them a unique perspective on the challenges the contestants were facing.

From G's to Gents was a groundbreaking show in many ways. It was one of the first reality shows to focus on the concept of personal growth and transformation, rather than the typical drama and conflict of reality TV. The show was also unique in its depiction of young men of color, who are often portrayed in a negative light in the media. From G's to Gents gave these men a chance to show the world that they were capable of change and growth.

Overall, From G's to Gents was an inspiring and impactful show that left a lasting impression on its viewers. It was a testament to the power of personal growth and the importance of having positive role models in our lives.
