Meanwhile, Chandler and Monica can't agree on the type of plates to use for Thanksgiving dinner which causes a rift between them. Monica wants to use her expensive china, while Chandler thinks they should use disposable plates instead. After some argument, they find a compromise and decide to use the china for dinner and the disposable plates for appetizers and dessert.
Throughout the episode, the characters struggle with insecurities, misunderstandings, and apprehension about their relationships.
