In Friends season 6 episode 13, titled The One With Rachel's Sister (1), Rachel's younger sister, Jill, comes to town to start her own modeling career. However, Rachel quickly realizes that Jill isn't as motivated or responsible as she would like her to be and starts to worry about her sister's future.
Meanwhile, Joey tries to teach Chandler how to smile for the camera after Chandler realizes that he has terrible photos in his office. However, Chandler's attempts at improving his smile become more and more ridiculous, causing Joey to question whether he is really capable of teaching Chandler anything.
Phoebe also deals with her own sibling issues as she tries to reconnect with her estranged brother, Frank Jr., who she hasn't seen in years. However, she is disappointed to learn that her brother has grown up to be a bit of a slacker and doesn't share her same values.
As the episode progresses, tensions amongst the group rise as Jill's carelessness and lack of motivation cause problems for everyone. Rachel becomes increasingly frustrated with her sister's lack of ambition, while Jill begins to feel suffocated by Rachel's constant lectures and criticism. Meanwhile, Chandler's ridiculous attempts at smiling continue to plague him, and Joey begins to question whether he is the right person to be teaching Chandler anything.
Despite the challenges they face, however, the friends continue to support each other and try to find solutions to their problems. Ultimately, they learn important lessons about family, friendship, and the importance of staying true to oneself.
