In Free Rein season 3 episode 8, titled "Princess", we see the gang preparing for a special Royal visit to Bright Fields. The Queen of England herself is set to visit and the tension is palpable as everyone works hard to make sure everything is perfect for her arrival.
The episode kicks off with Mia feeling left out of the preparations and feeling like she doesn't belong. She spends most of her time wandering around the stables with her horse, Raven, trying to find something to do and feeling sorry for herself.
Meanwhile, Zoe and the rest of the gang are busy designing a special jump course for the Queen to watch and are determined to impress her. They're also trying to come up with a suitable gift for the Queen, something that will show off the best of Bright Fields and make her feel welcome.
As the preparations continue, we see tensions rising between Rosie and Ben, who are still struggling to hide their secret relationship from their families. Things come to a head when Rosie's dad, Marcus, catches them kissing and demands that they stop seeing each other.
Back at the stables, Mia is feeling more and more left out as everyone is busy with their tasks. She tries to help out but ends up making things worse and is left feeling even more useless than before.
Things start to look up for Mia when she meets a young princess who has come to visit the stables with her nanny. The two quickly become friends and Mia is thrilled to be able to show her around and introduce her to all the horses.
Meanwhile, Zoe and the gang are struggling to come up with a suitable gift for the Queen. After much brainstorming, they finally come up with the perfect idea, a stunning portrait of her favorite horse, Prince. But when they go to collect the painting they discover that it's been damaged and they only have a few hours to come up with a new gift.
Mia comes up with an idea to create a beautiful flower arrangement, using flowers from all around Bright Fields. She works tirelessly to put it together, with the help of her new royal friend, and is finally able to present it to the Queen just in time for her arrival.
The Queen is suitably impressed with all the preparations and is thrilled with her gift. She spends the day watching the jump competition and meeting all the horses, accompanied by the young princess who has become Mia's new friend.
As the day draws to a close and the Queen prepares to leave, Mia is surprised to discover that she's been invited to accompany the young princess and her nanny back to the palace. It's an unexpected honor and Mia is thrilled to be able to experience life as a real-life princess, even if just for one day.
As the episode ends, we see Mia waving goodbye to her friends and setting off on her adventure, excited for what the future may hold. It's a heartwarming end to an episode that is all about friendship, belonging, and the joy of being part of something special.
