Ep 2. Close Up

Maddie is determined to find out more about the mysterious and beautiful horse she saw in the woods. Meanwhile, Zoe's effort to win Gaby over backfires. Rosie tests out a new look. One of the big highlights of this episode includes the montage where Rosie tries out all kinds of fancy clothes and hairstyles. However, the real focus of the episode remains on Maddie and Zoe.

Maddie is convinced that the horse she saw in the woods is worth pursuing. She spends much of the episode trying to track down information about it. It eventually leads her to the stables owned by Gaby, who is initially skeptical of Maddie's claims. However, Maddie is persistent and convinces Gaby to take her to see the horse. They arrive at the stables just in time to see the horse being loaded onto a trailer and taken away.

Zoe, on the other hand, is dealing with her own problems. Despite her best efforts, Gaby is still hesitant to trust Zoe. In an effort to win her over, Zoe decides to throw a party at the house. She invites everyone, including Gaby, and tries to make it a night to remember. However, things don't go quite as planned. Gaby doesn't show up, and the party ultimately ends with a major fight between Zoe and her friends.

Throughout the episode, we also see Rosie struggling with her own issues. She's tired of being seen as the good girl all the time, and decides to try out a different look for once. It doesn't go over particularly well with everyone, but Rosie is happy with the changes.

The episode ends with Maddie still determined to learn more about the horse she saw in the woods. She convinces Gaby to tell her more about it, and learns that it belongs to a wealthy family in the area. Maddie decides to take matters into her own hands and tries to track down the family. Meanwhile, Zoe is left picking up the pieces from her disastrous party.

Overall, Close Up is a solid episode of Free Rein that continues to build on the strong characters and relationships established in the first episode. Maddie is an especially intriguing character, with her determination and love of animals driving much of the plot. Zoe is also given plenty of screen time, as she struggles to find her place on the island. And Rosie's subplot adds some humor and levity to the episode, providing a nice counterbalance to the more serious storylines. All in all, it's a fun and engaging episode that will leave fans eager for more.
