Ep 1. Raven

In the show Free Rein, season 1 episode 1 titled Raven, we follow a young girl named Zoe as she leaves her city life and travels to a remote island in the UK called Bright Fields. Zoe is sent by her mother to visit her grandfather who lives on the island and runs a horse riding stable. Zoe is not happy about leaving her urban life behind but soon discovers the beauty of the island and the horses.

Upon arriving at Bright Fields, Zoe is fascinated by the wild horses that roam freely on the island. She meets her grandfather, who is pleased to see her after so many years, and shows her around the farm. Later she meets the local stable hand, Marcus, and they are off to explore the island on horseback. Zoe is thrilled to ride a horse for the first time, and her horse, Raven, becomes her companion throughout her visit.

In the first episode, we see Zoe become a part of the island community as she settles into life on the farm. However, not all is perfect as Zoe discovers that there is a rivalry between her grandfather's farm and a neighboring one. The neighboring farm, owned by the snobbish Veronica, has been trying to buy her grandfather's farm for years, and Zoe soon finds herself in the middle of a feud that has been simmering for a long time.

As Zoe starts to learn more about her grandfather's farm and the history of the horses on the island, she begins to know the people involved in the running of the stables. She starts to form a bond with Marcus and Jesse, a shy stable hand, who handles the wild horses. Zoe learns that Jesse is responsible for looking after Raven and tries to get him to open up to her.

As Zoe gets to know Raven, she discovers that he is not an ordinary horse. Raven is a wild stallion with an unpredictable temperament, and Jesse warns her to be cautious around him. However, Zoe feels a strong connection to the horse and cannot resist the temptation to ride him.

Elsewhere on the island, Zoe becomes friends with Rosie, a local girl who lives on a boat with her father. Rosie is fascinated by Zoe's city life and Zoe is equally fascinated by Rosie's life on a boat. They quickly become friends and Zoe learns that Rosie has a sailing competition coming up.

As the first episode comes to an end, the tension between her grandfathers' farm and Veronica's farm continues to rise. Veronica sets up a plan to sabotage Zoe's grandfather's horse show, which is taking place the following day. Meanwhile, Zoe is determined to ride Raven in the show, despite the warnings of her grandfather, Marcus, and Jesse.

The first episode of Free Rein is an exciting and engaging start to the series, introducing us to the beautiful island of Bright Fields, the wild horses, and the people who live on it. With fascinating characters and a lot of drama, the show is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.
