Freakazoid! is a comedic superhero cartoon that aired on Warner Bros. from 1995 to 1997. The show follows the adventures of Dexter Douglas, a high school student who transforms into the offbeat superhero Freakazoid. The show features a fun, irreverent tone, with plenty of slapstick humor and pop culture references. Maurice LaMarche voices Freakazoid, infusing the character with a zany energy that perfectly matches the show's tone. Tress MacNeille provides the voice of Freakazoid's love interest, Steff, while Jeff Bennett voices Dexter's best friend, Duncan.

Throughout the series, Freakazoid battles a range of eccentric villains, from the sinister Gutierrez to the bizarre Candle Jack. Frank Welker provides many of the show's animal sound effects, and Edward Asner voices Freakazoid's mentor, Sgt. Mike Cosgrove.

Freakazoid! also features a cast of wacky supporting characters, including the high-tech supercomputer Pinnacle, voiced by Paul Rugg, and the evil genius Professor Jones, voiced by John P. McCann. Other notable characters include the hapless mob boss Vorn the Unspeakable, the pirate Captain Giblet, and the alien emperor Lord Bravery.

One of the most unique aspects of Freakazoid! is the way it subverts many superhero tropes. Unlike other superheroes, Freakazoid is more interested in having fun and making jokes than in fighting crime. The show also pokes fun at traditional superhero archetypes, with villains who are just as bumbling and ridiculous as they are menacing.

Despite its playful tone, Freakazoid! also features some impressive action sequences, with Freakazoid utilizing his superhuman speed and agility to take on his foes. The show's animation is top-notch, with vibrant visuals and creative character designs.

Overall, Freakazoid! is a hilarious and entertaining superhero cartoon that is sure to delight fans of all ages. With its irreverent humor and unique approach to the genre, it remains a cult favorite to this day.

Freakazoid! is a series that ran for 2 seasons (24 episodes) between September 9, 1995 and on Warner Bros.
