Frasier season 8 episode 2 is a continuation of the storyline in the previous episode, "And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon (1)". In this episode, Niles and Daphne are still on the run after their impulsive decision to elope. Meanwhile, Frasier tries to cover up for their absence at their wedding reception by pretending that they have a contagious disease. The deception becomes more and more complex as Frasier tries to keep up the ruse.

The episode opens with Frasier nervously trying to keep up appearances at the wedding reception. He tries to distract the guests by telling jokes, but ultimately fails to keep them occupied. Roz, noticing his nervousness, tries to help by suggesting that they all play a game of charades. However, even this innocent game leads to complications, as one of the guests performs a suggestive gesture that makes Frasier even more uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, Niles and Daphne are trying to enjoy their honeymoon, but are constantly interrupted by phone calls from Frasier. They finally decide to turn off their phones and enjoy their time together. However, their romantic evening is soon disrupted by the arrival of Donny, who has been hired by the Crane family to track them down. Donny manages to find Niles and Daphne's hotel room, and they are forced to hide in the bathroom. Niles and Daphne are desperate to get away from Donny, and they come up with a plan to sneak out of the hotel and escape.

Back at the reception, Frasier's lies are starting to catch up with him, and the guests are becoming increasingly suspicious. Martin, who has been in on the deception from the beginning, is becoming fed up with the whole situation, and he takes Frasier aside to tell him that he needs to come clean. Frasier is torn between wanting to tell the truth and not wanting to ruin Niles and Daphne's romantic getaway.

Niles and Daphne's escape plan involves dressing up in disguises and pretending to be a married couple. However, their plan hits a snag when they encounter a group of real married couples who are celebrating their anniversaries. Niles and Daphne are forced to improvise, and they come up with a romantic story about how they met and fell in love. The other couples are touched by their story, and Niles and Daphne are able to make their escape.

As the episode comes to a close, Frasier realizes that he can't keep up the lie any longer. He decides to tell the truth about Niles and Daphne's elopement, and the guests are relieved to hear that they haven't been exposed to a contagious disease. Frasier's honesty is appreciated, and the guests are able to continue enjoying the reception. Meanwhile, Niles and Daphne arrive at their destination, and they are finally able to relax and enjoy their honeymoon.

Overall, Frasier season 8 episode 2 is a funny and entertaining continuation of the storyline introduced in the previous episode. The episode is well-written and well-acted, and it manages to keep the audience engaged throughout. Whether you're a fan of the show or new to the series, this episode is definitely worth a watch.
