In Frasier season 7 episode 7 titled "A Tsar is Born," the titular character is excited about his new job as a television host. He is set to debut his new show, "The Dr. Frasier Crane Show," and is feeling confident about its success. However, when the station manager tells him that he needs to have a co-host, Frasier is hesitant. He doesn't want to share the spotlight with anyone else.
Enter Bebe Glazer, Frasier's agent. She suggests that Frasier team up with a young, attractive co-host to help boost ratings. Frasier reluctantly agrees, and the search for the perfect co-host begins. After a long and grueling audition process, they find the one - a beautiful Russian woman named Zora.
Frasier is initially smitten with Zora and is thrilled about their on-screen chemistry. However, as they work together more, Frasier begins to realize that Zora isn't quite what he thought she was. She's difficult to work with and has a habit of stealing the spotlight. Frasier's frustrations come to a head when Zora reveals that she's been using their show to promote her own interests.
Meanwhile, Niles is dealing with his own issues. He's been tasked with caring for a baby that his friend has abandoned. Niles has no experience with children and is struggling to keep up with the baby's demands. He seeks advice from a parenting book and ends up becoming obsessed with it, causing even more issues.
The two storylines converge when Frasier and Niles go to a charity auction and bid on the same painting. The bidding war escalates until they realize that they've spent far more than they intended. They devise a plan to get their money back by convincing Zora to auction off a date with herself. The plan backfires, however, when Zora ends up being the highest bidder.
In the end, Frasier realizes that he doesn't need a co-host to make his show successful. He fires Zora and goes on air alone. Niles, on the other hand, learns that he doesn't need a book to be a good parent and decides to trust his instincts. The episode ends with both brothers learning valuable lessons and moving forward with newfound confidence.
