The Perfect Guy is the 17th episode of the 5th season of the popular television series Frasier. The show is centered around the life of Frasier Crane, a radio psychiatrist who has recently moved back to his home city of Seattle. In this episode, the main plot focuses on Frasier's friend, Roz Doyle, and her hunt for a partner who meets all of her high standards.

Roz is a successful radio producer and single mother who has been unlucky in love. She has a checklist of qualities that she looks for in a man, and nothing seems to measure up. As Frasier listens to her woes, he offers her some advice, suggesting that she needs to rethink her approach and try dating someone who doesn't tick all the boxes on her list.

As if by fate, a man walks into the radio station looking for Roz. His name is Luke, and he's a professional basketball player who is in town for a game. Roz is immediately smitten with him, but Frasier is skeptical. He doesn't think that Luke fits all of Roz's criteria, and he's concerned that she is settling for someone who isn't perfect.

Despite Frasier's reservations, Roz decides to give Luke a chance. She agrees to go on a date with him, and the two hit it off right away. Luke is charming, handsome, and funny, and he seems to genuinely care about Roz. She is ecstatic and tells Frasier that she finally found the perfect guy.

However, as the episode progresses, Frasier becomes even more convinced that Luke isn't all that he seems. He's overly clingy, he talks about himself all the time, and he's overly invested in the relationship. Frasier starts to worry that Roz is making a mistake by dating him, but she's too smitten to see the warning signs.

Eventually, Frasier confronts Luke and tells him that he doesn't think that he's the right man for Roz. Luke becomes defensive and accuses Frasier of being jealous. Roz overhears the argument and is devastated. She's convinced that Frasier is trying to sabotage her happiness and tells him that she doesn't want to hear from him again.

The rest of the episode sees Frasier trying to make amends with Roz and figure out a way to get her to see that Luke may not be the perfect guy after all. Meanwhile, Roz starts to have doubts of her own and starts to see some of the red flags that Frasier pointed out.

As always, the episode is full of witty banter, hilarious situations, and poignant moments. The Perfect Guy is a classic Frasier episode that explores the complexities of modern relationships, the importance of self-reflection, and the value of having a good friend to rely on. Whether you're a long-time fan of the show or a newcomer, this episode is sure to delight and entertain.
