Franklin and the Fortune Teller / Franklin's Cellar is the fifth episode of season 3 of the beloved children's show Franklin. In this episode, Franklin and his friends are inspired to become fortune tellers after they visit a local fair and have their fortunes told by Madame Zelda. Franklin is excited to learn more about predicting the future and decides to create his own "crystal ball" out of a grapefruit.
However, when the crystal ball ends up being a bust, Franklin turns to Madame Zelda for guidance, who tells him that the best way to predict the future is by just living in the moment and taking things as they come. In the second half of the episode, Franklin discovers a hidden cellar in his home and becomes determined to turn it into his own personal clubhouse. However, he soon realizes that turning the cellar into a clubhouse is going to be a lot of work, and he's not sure he's up for the task.
With the help of his friends, though, Franklin is able to clean out the cellar and transform it into a cozy space where the gang can hang out and play games. However, they soon discover that the cellar is haunted by a mysterious ghost, which causes them to rethink their plans for the space.
Throughout the episode, Franklin and his friends learn some valuable lessons about the power of living in the moment and the importance of working together to achieve a common goal.
