Franklin the turtle is excited about his day camp that he will be going to for the first time ever. But before he can go to day camp, his family is taking care of a tiny baby rabbit named Marshmallow. Franklin is excited about the rabbit too, but he doesn't know how to take care of a baby bunny. Franklin's mom agrees to take care of Marshmallow while Franklin is at day camp, but Franklin is not sure he can focus on the activities at camp while he is worried about the rabbit at home.
At day camp, Franklin finds a group of friends that include a skunk named Skunky, a beaver named Beaver, and a very excited bird named Robin. He isn't sure if he wants to play tag or soccer, but he decides to try both. His friends are having fun, but Franklin is still worried about Marshmallow. He tries to call home, but no one answers the phone.
Finally, it is time to make some crafts. Franklin is excited to make a pottery mug, but he isn't sure he is doing it right. Fortunately, he is given help by Skunky, who is an expert in pottery. Franklin makes a beautiful mug and he is very proud of it.
After finishing all the activities at day camp, Franklin goes to the bus stop to wait for his son. The bus is late, and he starts wondering if anything has happened at home. Finally, the bus comes and Franklin rushes to his house. He finds the baby rabbit is perfectly fine and everyone is happy.
Franklin is glad to see that Marshmallow is safe and happy. He tells his friends at the camp about the new baby rabbit. They are all excited to see the rabbit and to meet Marshmallow soon. They all decide to have a playdate with Marshmallow the next day. Franklin is happy because he doesn't have to worry about leaving the rabbit at home.
