Ep 9. Series 10 Episode 9
In Series 10 Episode 9 of Four in a Bed, four sets of B&B owners are ready to welcome each other into their homes. Over the week, they will stay in each other's establishments and rate their experiences based on the amenities, cleanliness, hospitality, and breakfast offerings.
The first B&B is Manor Guest House in Cornwall, run by owner Ray. The guests check-in to impressive rooms with breathtaking views. The hosts take them on a guided tour of the house which features a hot tub, pool table, and an honesty bar that everyone is welcome to use. The guests are impressed with Ray's attention to detail, including the personalized welcome packs complete with local goodies. The breakfasts are hearty and delicious - the perfect start to each day.
Next is The Hermitage B&B in Dorset, run by husband and wife duo Garry and Elaine. The guests are welcomed with open arms and treated to a cream tea on arrival. The hosts show off their stunning rooms, each with unique decor and beautiful furnishings. They take the guests down to their lovely garden, complete with a fish pond. The breakfast offered is a true British classic, with a range of hearty options.
The third B&B is The George Guest House in Cambridgeshire, managed by Stuart. The house is beautifully decorated, with each room having its own unique character. The hosts surprise the guests with a tour of the town in their classic open-top car. The breakfast is delicious, with the guests appreciating the choice of different styles of coffee available.
Finally, the last B&B is The Shankly Hotel in Liverpool, owned by Andrew. The hotel is a former synagogue and has been beautifully converted into a luxury hotel. The rooms are spacious, elegant and stylish. The guests enjoy the sound system in each room that is connected to Spotify. The breakfast is a lavish spread of continental and cooked options.
Tensions rise as the hosts find fault in each other's establishments, from spiders in the room to breakfasts not being up to scratch. Bickering emerges, with some of the hosts finding it difficult to accept criticism. However, as the week progresses, the guests and the hosts bond over their shared love for running a B&B.
