Mac and his imaginary friend, Bloo, are excited to attend the annual Foster's summer camp called Camp Keep a Good Mac Down. As they arrive, they are greeted by Frankie, who is thrilled to see the new batch of campers.
Throughout their camping journey, Mac and Bloo are introduced to a host of new imaginary friends and participate in a variety of fun activities, including archery, canoeing, and hiking. However, Mac soon discovers that the leader of the camp, a strict and rigid imaginary friend called Commandant Meow, has a vendetta against Mac and seems determined to ruin his camp experience.
As Mac tries to figure out why Commandant Meow is targeting him, he ends up getting separated from the group during a night hike and finds himself lost in the woods. With the help of his imaginary friends, Mac must navigate his way back to camp while avoiding various obstacles in his path.
Meanwhile, Bloo becomes jealous of Mac's newfound friendship with an imaginary friend named Cheese, who is constantly causing chaos and wreaking havoc around the campsite. Bloo sets out to prove that he is a better imaginary friend than Cheese and creates even more chaos in the process.
As the week-long camp comes to a close, Mac, Bloo, and the other campers must participate in a final challenge that will determine the winner of Camp Keep a Good Mac Down. With Commandant Meow watching their every move, the pressure is on for Mac and Bloo to do their best and avoid getting into trouble.
In the end, Mac learns the truth behind Commandant Meow's vendetta against him, Bloo learns a valuable lesson about friendship, and the two friends come out on top in the final challenge. As they depart from camp, Mac and Bloo look forward to their next summer adventure at Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
