Ep 7. Talwar

In season 4 episode 7 of Forged in Fire, titled "Talwar," four bladesmiths try their hand at forging the Indian blade known as the Talwar. This unique sword has a curved blade that allows the wielder to strike from various angles with deadly precision.

The first challenge is to create a signature blade using steel from a reclaimed railroad spike. Each smith approaches this challenge in their own way, with some opting to use a power hammer and others relying on traditional hand-forging techniques.

After the first round, the three remaining contestants move on to the grueling second challenge: creating a full Tang Talwar, complete with handle and guard. The judges closely monitor each smith's progress, scrutinizing every detail of their work.
