Ep 4. Spiked Shield

In Forged in Fire season 2 episode 4, titled "Spiked Shield," four bladesmiths are challenged to create a deadly spiked shield inspired by the ancient Aztec weapon, the macuahuitl. In the first round, the contestants must use high carbon steel to forge a blade that will later be integrated into their shield. After a grueling three-hour time limit, two contestants are sent home, and the remaining two are given five days to finish their spiked shields.

In the second round, the contestants are tasked with attaching their forged blades to a wooden shield, creating a functional and lethal macuahuitl-inspired weapon. The judges assess each weapon's ability to pierce and cut through materials, as well as their overall durability.

At the end of the episode, only one bladesmith will be crowned the champion and receive a prize of $10,000. Throughout the competition, the contestants must showcase their skill, creativity, and stamina, impressing both the judges and the audience with their craftsmanship.
