In season 15 episode 18 of Forensic Files, titled "Hear No Evil," viewers are taken on a journey through a complex and mysterious case that leaves investigators scratching their heads. The episode centers around the murder of a respected dentist from Dallas, Texas named Dr. David Harris.

Dr. Harris was found dead in the garage of his home by his wife, Clara, who had just arrived home from running errands. According to Clara, she had left Dr. Harris alive and well just a few hours prior, so it was a shock to discover him dead from a gunshot wound to the head. It was clear that the death was not self-inflicted- someone had taken Dr. Harris's life.

The investigation into Dr. Harris's murder was a challenging one, as there were few obvious suspects and few leads to follow. However, detectives were able to discern that Dr. Harris had been shot from close range with a high caliber weapon. They also surmised that the killer had been skilled at sneaking around their property and avoiding detection, as there were no signs of forced entry and no blood or other evidence outside of the crime scene.

As detectives dug deeper, they discovered that Dr. Harris had some enemies in his personal and professional life. For one, his marriage was not without its problems, and there had been allegations of infidelity and tension between him and his wife. Additionally, Dr. Harris had been embroiled in a legal battle over a dental clinic with one of his former partners, who had made no secret of his disdain for Dr. Harris.

With these factors at play, detectives had their work cut out for them in trying to narrow down suspects and piece together a timeline of events leading up to the murder. They eventually honed in on a potential suspect, a man named Jerry Harris who was no relation to Dr. Harris.

Jerry Harris had previously worked for Dr. Harris as a dental technician, but had been fired from his job a few months prior to the murder. Detectives learned that Jerry had harbored a grudge against Dr. Harris and had even vandalized his clinic after being let go. However, it was not until detectives were able to track down an audio recording of a voicemail that Jerry had left for his ex-girlfriend around the time of the murder that they were able to make a real breakthrough in the case.

The voicemail contained a recording of Jerry ranting about how Dr. Harris "had to go" and how he would get what was coming to him. Detectives were able to use this voicemail as evidence against Jerry in court, and he was ultimately convicted of the murder.

The episode concludes with interviews with detectives and family members of Dr. Harris, who express their relief that justice has been served in the case. Viewers are left with a sense of how difficult and painstaking it can be for investigators to piece together evidence and solve complex crimes.

Overall, "Hear No Evil" is a compelling episode of Forensic Files that showcases the intricate nature of forensic investigations and the lengths that law enforcement must go to in order to solve crimes and bring murderers to justice.
