Ep 7. Four on the Floor

In season 10, episode 7 of Forensic Files, titled "Four on the Floor," viewers are taken back to 2001, to the small town of Brenham, Texas. On the night of July 8th, four young men were found brutally murdered in a nearby field, known as "Four Corners." The community was in shock, and the police were left with a perplexing homicide investigation on their hands.

The initial investigation proved to be a daunting task for the police department. The crime scene was scattered with bullet casings and blood. With no apparent motive or suspects, detectives were left scratching their heads as to who could perpetrate such a heinous crime. Authorities carefully collected evidence at the crime scene, including the bullets and bullet casings, as well as other forensic evidence, to try to bring the murderer to justice.

As the police investigated further, they began to unravel the identities of the four victims and their connection to the crime. Each victim had their own distinct personality and story, but what linked them together was their involvement in the local drug scene. Through interviews with family members and friends, detectives learned that the four young men were heavily involved in the local drug trade. The possibility that their deaths were drug-related became a leading theory in the investigation.

As forensic teams began testing the evidence, they were able to link the bullets found at the scene to a firearm owned by a known repeat offender, Kevin Charles Stover. Stover had recently been released from prison for charges such as theft and drug dealing at the time of the murders. The police knew they had their prime suspect but needed to gather more evidence before making their arrest.

After months of investigation, the police were able to tie Kevin Stover to the murders through DNA evidence found on a cigarette butt at the crime scene. Stover was arrested, tried, and convicted for the murders of the four young men. He is currently serving a life sentence.
