Ep 4. Venice Beach Battle

In the fourth episode of Food Truck Face Off's first season, four teams of talented food truck wizards roll their way to the Venice Beach boardwalk in order to compete for the grand prize of $50,000. This time, each team is tasked with preparing and selling their specialties at the Venice Beach Battle, where beach goers are the judges. Each team has to plan their menus, prep their ingredients and set up their trucks to serve the customers lining up by the beachfront.

The first team consists of The Rolling Stoves, who feature a variety of dishes that imbue classic American flavors. They go head to head with The Waffle Bus, an equally scrappy bunch of food truckers who specialize in sweet and savory waffles for the adventurous palate. The next team, Flaming Tacos, stands out with their Latin inspired flavors that fuse traditional cooking styles with modern techniques. They are up against Wow Bagels, which boasts of a broad variety of mouthwatering bagels with creative spreads that will satisfy any craving.

As the lunch hour begins, the trucks come to life and the competition heats up. The Rolling Stoves present their take on a classic burger with crispy onion rings while The Waffle Bus brings their best and most popular seller, a waffle sandwich. On the other side of the boardwalk, Flaming Tacos entice the crowd with their signature pork carnitas tacos that are cooked to perfection. Wow Bagels present an exceptional spread of classic and new bagel options that range from the timeless to the adventurous.

As lunchtime winds down, the judges take over and deliberate as the teams eagerly await their verdict. The judges inspect every item offered by the contestants and rank them based on taste, presentation and creativity. Although the competitors are pleasantly surprised regarding the popularity of their dishes, there can only be one winner.

By the end of the day, only one team surpasses the others, winning the coveted prize: $50,000. With such tough competitors, the judges' decision is not an easy one.
