Flying Tiger 2 is a Hong Kong television drama series that premiered on October 6, 2019. It is a sequel to the hit 2018 series Flying Tiger. The show is produced by Shaw Brothers Studio, written by Wong Wai-sing and directed by Sunny Luk Kim-ching and Tommy Leung Ka-shu. With its action-packed storyline, the show quickly gained a massive fan following in Hong Kong and beyond.
In Episode 02 of Flying Tiger 2, we find the elite Hong Kong police unit, SRU, still grappling with the aftermath of their takedown of international triad boss Sam Kenneth. The team had been able to recover valuable information from Sam's hard drive, which eventually led them to another gang boss, Lee Yiu-fai. However, before they could make their move, Lee disappeared without a trace. The tension in the team is high and they are all eager to make amends.
Meanwhile, the team's leader, Billy Ching (played by Michael Miu), is in Japan to seek the help of Detective Kai (played by Tetsuya Wakuda) in finding Lee. He's accompanied by tech specialist Yiu Man-ying (played by Bosco Wong) and newcomer Lee Po-yan (played by Kelly Cheung). Detective Kai is reluctant to help them initially, but eventually, he agrees to aid them in their mission.
Back in Hong Kong, SRU team member Terry Tong (played by Ron Ng) is assigned to protect a witness in a drug trafficking case who is scheduled to testify in court. However, things take an unexpected turn when the witness is kidnapped before the trial. Terry's experience as a former undercover cop comes in handy in this situation as he sets out to rescue the witness and bring the kidnappers to justice.
At the same time, SRU's forensic expert, Lok Ka-sing (played by Kenneth Ma), is investigating a mysterious case involving torched vehicles around the city. With the help of his former mentor and renowned forensic specialist, Dr. Ho (played by Bowie Wu), they unravel a complex web of lies and deceit, leading them to a shocking discovery.
Overall, Episode 02 of Flying Tiger 2 is fast-paced and action-packed, with multiple storylines unfolding simultaneously. The show does an excellent job of seamlessly weaving the different threads of the story together, keeping the viewers engaged and on the edge of their seats. The performances by the talented ensemble cast are top-notch, bringing to life the complex and intriguing characters. It's definitely a must-watch for fans of crime dramas and action thrillers.
