The Planetarium: Level 1 is the third episode of the popular Netflix series, Floor is Lava. In this episode, six new teams of three contestants each try to navigate their way through the challenges of a planetarium-themed course.
The contestants are greeted by the sight of a large model of the solar system, with planets of varying sizes and colors. The first challenge requires the teams to cross a mock solar system by jumping from planet to planet, avoiding the lava that is represented by red-colored water.
The first team steps up to the challenge and immediately faces difficulty as they struggle to stay on the first planet they attempt to jump to. The other teams watch as they cheer them on and offer words of encouragement. The second team, however, finds the task easier and is able to be the first team to make it to the other side in record time.
The second challenge involves a maze of orbiting planets, where the contestants must navigate around the planets by swinging on ropes and jumping over small planets. Falling into the lava means losing valuable time and possibly being eliminated from the game. Some teams quickly learn that swinging on the ropes requires more than just strength, as it takes skill and coordination to jump from one planet to the next.
As the teams progress through the challenge, their adrenaline kicks in and they try to race to the finish line before their competitors. One team takes a risk, going for a much larger leap, only to fall into the lava. Their teammates show support, however, adding to the overall suspense of the challenge.
The third challenge is the most intense yet, requiring contestants to climb a ladder and then jump onto moving planets that rotate around a central axis, trying to avoid the lava that is flowing in the gaps between the planets. One team has a member who is afraid of heights, causing panic and slowing them down as they brave the treacherous climb before trying to make the jump.
Another team is more strategic, allowing their strongest members to go first and then cheering on the rest as they make their way through the challenge. Others are not skipping a beat, focusing on the goal, which is to reach the finish line and avoid falling into the lava.
Just when the teams think the challenges are over, they are faced with one final secret obstacle. They must climb a giant observatory platform and reach a set of long parallel bars, which they must use to cross a pool of red lava. The contestants are getting tired, and some of them are running low on energy, causing them to trip and fall into the lava.
Watching the contestants jump, swing, and climb their way to success is thrilling to witness. The Planetarium: Level 1 is a wild ride that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, cheering on their favorite teams and admiring every competitor's determination. Whether you're a first-time viewer or a die-hard fan, this episode is one that is not to be missed.
