Ep 9. Heads or Tails

In season 3 episode 9 of Flea Market Flip titled "Heads or Tails", two teams of skilled flippers go head-to-head in a competition to transform flea market finds into stylish, functional pieces for the home. The first team, comprised of married couple George and Kathleen, are eager to take on their opponents with their unique vision for repurposing old items. Their opponents, a pair of best friends named Al and Liz, are equally as determined to win. With a love for all things vintage, the duo is excited to transform a dilapidated steamer trunk into a stunning coffee table that would fit perfectly in any modern living room.

As the teams set out to gather materials from the nearby flea market, tensions run high and the competition heats up. With a limited budget and a limited amount of time to complete the project, every decision is crucial.

Back in the workshop, the teams begin to work their magic. George and Kathleen carefully measure and drill, adding a playful touch to their lamp with a cluster of metal horseshoes fitted onto the base. Al and Liz, on the other hand, take a more meticulous approach, sanding and staining their steamer trunk until it shines like new.

As the clock ticks down, both teams realize they are running out of time. With only minutes to spare, each team puts the finishing touches on their pieces, adding final coats of paint and glaze, tweaking components here and there until their creations are just right.

Finally, the time has come for the big reveal. Host Lara Spencer leads the judges through each team's workshop, providing a glimpse into the creative process that went into crafting their pieces. The judges scrutinize every detail of the two pieces, taking into account their functionality, style, and overall appeal.
