In season 10 episode 2 of Flea Market Flip titled "Drumming Up Some Flips," the show's contestants are introduced to an old drum set at the flea market. The teams are given the challenge to repurpose and upcycle the drum set into unique furniture items for their homes.
The contestants are divided into two teams and given a budget of $500 to source additional materials and transform the drums. They have only one day to plan and execute their designs before they present their finished products to the judges.
The first team, comprised of Sarah and Dana, decide to transform their drum set into a coffee table. They strip the drums of their original hardware and paint the shells black. They then add a glass top to the drum set to create a sleek and modern look. To further enhance the functionality of the coffee table, they add a storage compartment on the bottom of the drums.
The second team, consisting of Josh and Vince, decide to repurpose their drum set into a bar. They sand down the drums and use them as the base for their bar top. They add a wooden bar top with a glossy finish and attach beer taps to the front of the drums for an added touch. To finish off their design, they install a small sink on the top of the bar for easy cleaning.
As the teams work on their designs, they encounter challenges along the way. Sarah and Dana have trouble finding the right size glass top for their coffee table, while Josh and Vince struggle to fit their sink onto the bar top. Despite these challenges, both teams manage to complete their projects within the allotted time and present their finished products to the judges.
The judges are impressed with both designs and find it difficult to choose a winner. They ultimately choose Sarah and Dana's coffee table for its functionality and simplistic design. However, they commend Josh and Vince for their creativity and execution of the bar design.
At the end of the episode, Sarah and Dana walk away with the $5,000 prize and bragging rights as the winners of "Drumming Up Some Flips."
