Ep 2. Celebrity First Dates Episode 2

  • 47 min

In the second episode of Celebrity First Dates, guests from the world of sport and show business arrive at the restaurant to test their luck in love. Among them is rugby player and last year's Strictly contestant Thom Evans, who is paired with model and DJ Kelly Brook. The two hit it off straight away, bonding over their love of fitness and discussing their experiences in the public eye.

Also on the show is Linda Lusardi, former glamour model turned actress, who is paired with her perfect gentleman - a chivalrous businessman named Paul. Things get off to a good start as Paul guides Linda to her seat and they discuss their shared love of theatre. But as the conversation continues, Paul finds himself challenged by Linda's confidence and her independence.

Meanwhile, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing arrives for his date with Brazilian fashionista Fernanda. As the two exchange compliments on each other's style, Fernanda reveals she's a fan of the show and Jamie admits he's never seen it - which leads to a funny moment when Fernanda asks Jamie if he's just a "normal guy".

In another corner of the restaurant, the mood is less light-hearted as Strictly Come Dancing's AJ Pritchard opens up about his grief over losing his grandmother. His date, physiotherapist Abbie, listens sympathetically and the two bond over their shared love of dance.

Throughout the episode, the celebrities are joined by the regular First Dates diners, who offer their advice and observations on the interactions taking place. As always, the show delivers on its promise to be a rollercoaster of emotions, with both happy and awkward moments and the potential for any of the guests to find true love.
