In Fireman Sam season 4 episode 7, titled "Troubled Waters," the brave firefighters of Pontypandy are called upon to tackle a range of nautical emergencies. When Sam receives a distress call from a group of fishermen stranded at sea, he wastes no time in launching Neptune, Pontypandy's sleek rescue boat, to their aid. However, as the rescue mission gets underway, things quickly take a turn for the worse when a huge storm descends on the coast, and Neptune is battered by huge waves and gale-force winds.
Meanwhile, back on dry land, Penny and Elvis are called to help a stranded birdwatcher who has become stranded on a rocky outcrop on the beach. As they attempt to rescue the birdwatcher, they soon discover that he is not the only one in danger, as the waves start to rise and threaten to wash them all into the sea.
As the storm continues to rage, Sam and his crew battle bravely against the elements to reach the stranded fishermen and bring them to safety. However, the rescue is far from straightforward, as the fishermen's boat is damaged and they are struggling to stay afloat in the choppy waters. With the clock ticking and conditions getting ever more treacherous, Sam must use all his skill and experience to guide Neptune through the storm and bring the fishermen back to Pontypandy alive.
