- November 1, 2019
Fireman Sam season 10 episode 3, Castles and Kings, is an exciting adventure for the Welsh village of Pontypandy. The episode opens with the children of Pontypandy Primary School gathered together to hear the principal announce that they will be putting on a performance of a play about King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. The children are thrilled at the news and set about auditioning for the various roles.
As rehearsals get underway, Fireman Sam and his team are called out to deal with a minor fire at the Castle ruins outside of the village. The Castle is a popular tourist attraction and a local treasure. As Sam and the others put out the fire, they discover that the Castle's caretaker, Norman, has been keeping a secret room in the ruins. Norman explains that the room used to be an ancient sorcerer's laboratory and that he believed that it was cursed.
As Sam and his team investigate the room, they discover that it is filled with dangerous chemicals, old books, and magic spells. Sam quickly realizes that this room needs to be locked up and kept away from the public. However, Norman insists that they keep the room open, as it is part of the Castle's history.
Meanwhile, the children of the primary school are busy rehearsing their play. They need to create costumes and props, and they also need to learn their lines. As the day of the performance approaches, tensions run high among the children, and some are worried that they won't be able to remember their lines.
On the day of the performance, the children all arrive at the Castle, dressed in their costumes and ready to go. As they begin the play, something strange starts to happen. The lines that the children are saying seem to be coming true. Suddenly, King Arthur and his Knights are really fighting with swords, and the dragon that they had created out of cardboard seems to be breathing fire.
As panic sets in among the children, Fireman Sam and his team arrive to save the day. Sam realizes that the magic spells that Norman had kept in the secret room have somehow been mixed in with the materials that the children used to create their costumes and props. He quickly deduces that they need to find a way to stop the spells from working and reverse the damage that has been done.
In a race against time, Sam and the others search for the magic spells and try to find a way to counteract their effects. Finally, they come up with a solution, and the spells are reversed. The children are safe, and King Arthur and his Knights go back to being actors in a play.
