Fireman Sam is a children's television show that first aired in 1987. The show follows the daily adventures of the firefighters and the people of the Welsh town of Pontypandy. In season 5 episode 1, titled "Trouble And Squeak", viewers are once again transported to Pontypandy where the town's firefighters are always on the go, ready to help those in need.
The episode begins with Fireman Sam and his team receiving a call that a cat has become stranded on a small island in the middle of a lake. The team springs into action, heading out in their rescue boat to save the cat. It's a tricky rescue, but after some quick thinking and teamwork, the cat is safely brought back to shore.
While the firefighters are carrying out this rescue mission, Norman Price, the town's resident troublemaker, is up to his old tricks. He's convinced his best friend Derek to steal a toy from the new toy shop in town, but things quickly go wrong when the toy starts making a loud squeaking noise. Norman and Derek try to hide the toy, first in a shed, and then in a tree, but it's no use - the toy's constant squeaking soon attracts the attention of Fireman Sam and his team.
As the firefighters search the town for the source of the noise, they're interrupted by another call. This time it's to rescue a group of schoolchildren who have become stranded on a mountain during a hike. Once again, the team springs into action, using all of their training and expertise to bring the children back down to safety.
Back in the town, the search for the source of the squeaking noise continues. Eventually, the firefighters trace the noise to Norman and Derek's hideout in the tree. At first, Norman denies any wrongdoing, but eventually, he realizes that he needs to own up to his mistakes. He apologizes to the shopkeeper and returns the toy, realizing that stealing is never the answer.
Overall, "Trouble And Squeak" is a fun and engaging episode of Fireman Sam that's sure to captivate its young audience.
