Finding Carter is a drama series that aired on MTV from 2014 to 2015. Created by Emily Silver, the show follows the story of Carter Stevens, a teenage girl who discovers that her mother had abducted her as a child. The show stars Kathryn Prescott as Carter, a rebellious and adventurous teenager who has always felt like something was missing in her life. One day, she is confronted by the police and discovers that her mother, who she thought was her birth mother, had actually abducted her and raised her as her own. Carter is then forced to leave her old life behind and reconnect with her birth family.

The show explores the challenges that Carter faces as she adjusts to her new life, including dealing with her birth parents, her twin sister, and the awkwardness of meeting people who have known her as a different person. Each episode is filled with intense drama, surprising revelations, and heartfelt family moments.

Carter's birth parents, Elizabeth and David Wilson, are played by Cynthia Watros and Alexis Denisof, respectively. They are struggling with their own problems, including their marriage and their relationship with their other daughter, Taylor.

In addition to her parents, Carter also has a twin sister named Taylor, played by Anna Jacoby-Heron. Taylor is initially hesitant about accepting Carter into her life, and the two sisters struggle to forge a relationship after years of separation.

Other important characters in the show include Carter's love interests, including Gabe (Jesse Henderson) and Crash (Caleb Ruminer), who both have their own secrets and problems. There is also Max (Alex Saxon), who is Carter's best friend and often provides her with a much-needed refuge from her chaotic life.

Throughout the series, Carter learns more about herself and her past, and she must confront her own demons as she tries to figure out who she really is. The themes of identity, family, and self-discovery are all explored in the show.

Overall, Finding Carter is a compelling and emotional drama series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. With strong performances from the cast and engaging storylines, the show is a must-watch for fans of teen dramas and family dramas alike.

Finding Carter is a series that ran for 2 seasons (38 episodes) between July 8, 2014 and on MTV
