The sixteenth episode of Fate/Zero's first season is titled "Des Ruhmes Niedergang," which translates to "The Fall of Glory" in English. The episode picks up where the last one left off, with the battle between Archer and Berserker still raging on in the streets of Fuyuki City. As the two Servants clash, their respective Masters stand by and watch, each hoping that their Servant will emerge victorious.

Meanwhile, Saber and Lancer are still engaged in their own battle in a different part of the city. Saber's Master, Kiritsugu, has ordered her to retreat and regroup with him, but Saber refuses to back down from a fight. Lancer, who is under the command of the Irish hero Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, is equally determined to emerge victorious. The two warriors continue to trade blows, each seeking a decisive advantage.

Back at the battle between Archer and Berserker, it becomes apparent that Berserker is at a disadvantage. Despite his incredible strength and durability, he is no match for Archer's Noble Phantasms. Archer continues to bombard Berserker with arrows and other weapons, slowly whittling away at his defenses. Berserker's Master, Kariya Matou, realizes that he must take action if he hopes to save his Servant from certain defeat.

As Kariya watches his beloved Servant struggle against Archer, memories of his past come flooding back. He remembers the day when he first learned about the Grail War from his grandfather, and how he was initially reluctant to participate. However, when he learned that his beloved Sakura was being used as a pawn by his family's rival, the Tohsaka clan, he knew he had to act. Kariya made a deal with Zouken Matou, his grandfather and the head of the Matou family, in order to gain the power he needed to win the Grail War and save Sakura.

Back in the present, Kariya realizes that his deal with Zouken came at a terrible cost. He has been forced to endure incredible pain and suffering in order to use his Command Seals to control Berserker. Kariya knows that if he uses too many of his Command Seals, he could die or be left permanently disabled. However, he also knows that he must act quickly if he hopes to save Berserker.

Kariya decides to use his final Command Seal to give Berserker a powerful boost of energy, allowing him to break free from Archer's attacks and unleash a devastating attack of his own. As Archer and Berserker clash one final time, the true identities of both Servants are revealed, shocking both their opponents and their Masters.

Meanwhile, Saber and Lancer's battle reaches its climax as well. Lancer reveals that he is using a mysterious curse known as Gae Buidhe to slowly drain Saber's life force, leaving her weakened and vulnerable. However, Saber refuses to give up, even when it seems like all hope is lost.

As the episode comes to a close, the fate of several characters hangs in the balance. Will Kariya and Berserker emerge victorious over Archer, or will they be defeated once and for all? And what will become of Saber, Lancer, and their respective Masters? Viewers will have to wait until the next episode to find out.
