Shirou and Saber are still trying to figure out the true identity of their enemy, the servant Rider. Meanwhile, Shirou's classmate, Issei, has been acting strange and secretive lately, leading Shirou to suspect that he may be involved with the Holy Grail War somehow.
As the night falls, Saber senses an overwhelming presence and they head out to investigate. They find Rider, who challenges them to a battle. Saber takes on the servant while Shirou goes to find Issei, suspecting that he may be Rider's master.
After a fierce battle, Saber manages to defeat Rider, but Shirou's search for Issei leads him to a dead end. Later that night, Shirou receives a mysterious message where someone claims to have information for him regarding the Holy Grail War and asks for a meeting under the moon.
The next day, Shirou goes to meet the mysterious sender of the message, who turns out to be Rin's servant, Archer. Archer offers to team up with Shirou to defeat Caster, another servant who has been wreaking havoc in the city. Shirou is hesitant to accept Archer's offer, as he still doesn't trust him completely.
Saber, on the other hand, is also suspicious of Archer's intentions. She confronts him and warns him to stay away from Shirou. Archer merely smiles and says that he has his own reasons for wanting to defeat Caster.
As the night falls again, Shirou and Archer set out to track down Caster and her master, hoping to put an end to their evil deeds. They soon come face to face with Caster, who unleashes her magic on them. Archer tries to fight her, but his attacks have no effect on her.
Just when things seem desperate, Saber arrives to lend her assistance. With the two servants working together, they manage to overpower Caster and force her to flee. Shirou is amazed at the sheer power of the two servants and realizes that they may have a chance at winning the war after all.
Later that night, Saber and Shirou have a heart to heart, where Saber reveals some of her past and explains why she is so dedicated to winning the Holy Grail War. Shirou listens intently, realizing that he has a lot to learn from Saber.
As they look up at the moon together, Shirou realizes that despite the danger and uncertainty of the war, he wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Saber smiles and tells him that he has indeed become a true warrior, worthy of being her master.
The episode ends with Shirou and Saber vowing to continue fighting until they achieve victory in the Holy Grail War.
