John is feeling nostalgic for Earth and his loved ones, so he decides to make a project out of fixing his old headphones so he can listen to music. Meanwhile, Chiana brings on board a ferocious little creature that turns out to be a large and hungry monster capable of consuming a third of Moya's food supplies in just a few days. The creature seems to be intelligent and able to communicate, but its only interest is satisfying its desire for food. Throughout the episode, John and the rest of the crew must reckon with the creature's insatiable appetite while also exploring its potential for friendship and cooperation. Along the way, they uncover the creature's origins and discover that it may hold the key to a long-awaited solution to their various problems. Through a mix of action, humor, and heart-tugging moments, "Beware of Dog" delivers another satisfying dose of the wacky and unpredictable world of Farscape.
