Ep 1. Farscape: S2 E1 - Mind The Baby

Farscape: Series season 2 episode 1 titled "Mind The Baby" introduces viewers to the aftermath of the events that transpired in the finale of the previous season. The crew of Moya, consisting of John Crichton, Aeryn Sun, Ka D'Argo, Chiana, Rygel, and Pilot, are still dealing with the loss of a beloved crew member. Additionally, Aeryn and John are grappling with the knowledge that they are expecting a child together.

As the episode begins, Moya and her crew are still on the run from Peacekeepers and Scorpius, the rogue agent who has been hunting John. The crew is severely depleted, as they have lost Zhaan, one of their strongest and most beloved members. The atmosphere on board is tense, as everyone struggles to come to terms with their grief and the constant danger they are facing.

While searching for a safe haven, the crew discovers a planet that seems to be devoid of any intelligent life forms. However, they soon learn that the planet is not as empty as it seems, as they stumble upon a group of Peacekeeper commandos who have been sent to retrieve Scorpius's damaged Command Carrier. The crew decides to use the opportunity to steal the carrier and escape, but things quickly spiral out of control.

As the crew tries to steal the carrier, they are ambushed by Scorpius, who has set a trap for them. Aeryn and John are separated from the rest of the crew and stranded on the planet, where they must fight for their survival. Meanwhile, the crew of Moya is forced to flee as Scorpius's forces close in on them.

As the crew tries to make their way back to Moya, they encounter a group of Leviathans, the living spaceships of which Moya is a part. The Leviathans are in the midst of an intense birthing cycle, and the crew is unexpectedly thrust into the middle of it. They must navigate their way through the treacherous birthing process, while also dealing with the threat of Scorpius and the Peacekeepers.

Throughout the episode, tensions run high as each member of the crew confronts their own personal demons. Aeryn and John struggle to come to terms with the prospect of parenthood, while D'Argo grapples with the loss of Zhaan. Chiana and Rygel, both of whom have had brushes with danger, question their place on the ship and wonder if they are truly safe with the crew.

Despite the challenges they face, the crew manages to come together and overcome the obstacles in their path. They ultimately succeed in stealing Scorpius's damaged Command Carrier and escape with their lives. As the episode draws to a close, the crew looks towards an uncertain future with a renewed sense of hope and a deeper understanding of the bonds that bind them together.
