In the third episode of Fantastic Four's first season, entitled "Now Comes the Sub-Mariner," the titular heroes face off against one of Marvel's most iconic villains, Namor the Sub-Mariner.
The episode begins with Johnny and Ben trying to calm down a nervous Sue, who is worried about the team's capabilities in the face of their new opponent. Meanwhile, Reed is busy studying the ocean floor with his latest invention, a submarine that can withstand the intense pressure and heat of the deep sea. As they work together to find a way to neutralize his powers, the team begins to unravel the mystery of Namor's past and his connection to the undersea kingdom of Atlantis.
As the episode races towards its climax, the Fantastic Four find themselves in a desperate battle against Namor and his army of undersea creatures. With the fate of the city hanging in the balance, the team must overcome their own doubts and fears in order to emerge victorious.
