It's the Halloween season in the Winslow household, and while everyone is excitedly picking out their costumes, it seems like Steven is not too thrilled. However, when Steve's ventriloquist dummy "Stevil" mysteriously shows up from the basement, things start to take a spooky turn.
At first, Steve seems overjoyed to have his old pal back, but things start to get a little creepy when Stevil's voice seems to be coming from Steve's lips instead of the dummy's. Soon, Stevil is causing all kinds of mayhem around the Winslow household, with Eddie and Waldo bearing the brunt of his pranks.
To make matters worse, no one else seems to believe that Stevil is the one causing all the chaos, leaving Steve frustrated and alone in his quest to stop his doppelganger. Matters come to a head when Stevil reveals his true intentions, and it's up to the Winslow family to come together and stop the evil dummy once and for all.
Through all the twists and turns, this Halloween episode of Family Matters is a spooky treat that perfectly captures the holiday's best – and most frightening – aspects. With a perfect mix of humor and scares, Stevil is sure to leave viewers on the edge of their seats as they witness the hijinks of one of sitcom television's most beloved families.
