Meanwhile, Brian is fed up with political corruption in Quahog and wants to start a revolution. He tries to convince others to vote for a young boy who's running for mayor. The boy is not taken seriously at first, but soon gains popularity after Brian starts a write-in campaign. However, the boy's unexpected win leads to chaos in the town, and Brian quickly realizes he made a mistake.
As Peter's obsession with his job grows, he begins neglecting his family even more. He cancels his son's birthday party and forgets his wedding anniversary. Lois, fed up with Peter's behaviour, confronts him and demands the old Peter back. Peter finally realizes the error of his ways and decides to step down as CEO, returning to his old job at the brewery. He realizes that being around his family is more important than being in power.
In the end, the boy who Brian helped get elected as mayor is impeached after he makes a series of controversial decisions. Brian learns that sometimes it's better to stick to the establishment than to make a change for the sake of making a change.
