Go Stewie Go is the thirteenth episode of the eighth season of the popular animated series, Family Guy. The episode first aired on February 14, 2010, on Fox. The episode revolves around the character Stewie Griffin, a one-year-old infant with a sophisticated personality and a British accent.
In this episode, Stewie finds out that his old pal Penelope, with whom he had a brief romantic relationship, is getting married. Distressed by the news, Stewie decides to travel to San Francisco to stop Penelope's wedding and win her back. Brian, Stewie's canine friend accompanies him on the trip, and they set off on an adventurous road trip across the country.
As they travel, Stewie starts to have hallucinations about Penelope and even writes and sings a love song for her. Brian tries to convince Stewie that Penelope is not the right person for him, but Stewie is not willing to listen. Along the way, the duo meets various interesting characters, including a hitchhiking cowboy and a bus full of hippies, all of whom offer their own advice on love and relationships.
As Stewie and Brian approach San Francisco, Stewie becomes increasingly anxious and desperate to stop the wedding. Despite Brian's objections, Stewie sneaks into the chapel where the wedding is taking place, disguised as a photographer. Stewie is tearful as he watches his former love exchange vows with her fiancé.
However, as the ceremony continues, Stewie has a sudden realization that he does not really know Penelope as well as he thought. He remembers that she had never shown any interest in his hobbies or passions, and he realizes that he does not really know what they would do together as a couple. Penelope's fiancé, who has been listening to Stewie's emotional outburst, suddenly realizes he is about to make the biggest mistake of his life and calls off the wedding.
In the end, Stewie returns home, realizing that he is not yet ready for a romantic relationship. He sings a song to Brian, thanking him for being his best friend and always looking out for him.
The episode deals with themes of love, romance, and growing up. It also touches on the idea that sometimes what we think we want may not be what we really need. The show's trademark humor is also present in this episode, with witty one-liners and quirky characters.
Overall, Go Stewie Go is an entertaining and thoughtful episode that offers a glimpse into the complex personality of Stewie Griffin while also providing plenty of laughs.
