And the Wiener Is... is the fifth episode of the third season of the animated television show Family Guy. The episode was directed by Dan Povenmire and written by Mike Barker, Matt Weitzman, and Seth MacFarlane.
The episode starts with Peter taking part in a work scavenger hunt. His boss, Mr. Weed, gives him a task to take a picture of a giant fish that once lived in the Quahog River. Peter fails to accomplish the task but, during his search, he discovers an old high school yearbook. After he takes the book back to his office, he and his coworkers reminisce about their high school days. Peter sees that his classmates have put together a reunion and, desperate to attend, he tells them he was the one who caught the giant fish.
Peter is then faced with a problem when he realizes that Chris' school induction ceremony at the same time as the reunion dinner. Determined to go to both events, Peter decides to forfeit his induction rights and make Chris feel like he is the character in Willy Wonka when he finds the golden ticket. Peter buys a large number of hot dogs, hides a golden hot dog in one of them, and delivers the boxes to the school. Chris finds the golden hot dog and, on the way to the reunion, Peter sees a couple of guys from his school picking on Chris. In an effort to protect Chris, Peter reveals his secret and the pair go on to the reunion together.
Peter reunites with his old friends but they mock him for lying about catching the giant fish. Peter becomes angry and shoves a hot dog into his mouth, which causes him to choke. The guys debate whether or not to help Peter, but decide to save him at the last minute. As a result, Peter receives a medal for bravery and is given the respect he was after.
Meanwhile, Stewie is determined to learn how to swim. Brian takes the opportunity to teach him but quickly learns that Stewie has no intention of learning to swim at all. He just wants to be seen at the pool with ladies. When Brian tries to convince Stewie to swim properly, Stewie reveals that he is afraid of the deep end and Brian helps him overcome his fear.
In conclusion, And the Wiener Is... is a hilarious episode about a desperate Peter trying to reconnect with his high school classmates, while risking his son's future and choking on a hot dog. The episode also highlights Stewie's fear of the deep end, as well as the bond between him and Brian. Overall, it is a fun and entertaining episode that is sure to make you laugh.
