Peter Griffin, the protagonist of the series, finds out he has a feminine side after watching an episode of a talk show about self-empowerment. Meg, his daughter, convinces him to attend a Women's Empowerment meeting, which leads to Peter accidentally flashing his genitals at the group, making him the laughingstock of the town.
Peter decides to take a feminist class to prove to his co-workers that he can be a more superior worker since he is a feminist. He learns about Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan and becomes an advocate for women's rights. Meanwhile, Stewie, his son, creates a machine that enables him to travel through time and space in a time machine that resembles a baby walker.
At the end of the Feminist class, the class has to protest against an offensive strip club, where Peter previously worked, which leads to Peter being recruited by the owner to perform in a strip show. When Lois, Peter's wife, discovers what happened, she is supportive but horrified. She is comforted by her friends, who also attend the strip club show, and eventually decides to confront Peter.
Peter defends himself by saying he is doing it for their family. However, he is ultimately unable to go through with the strip performance, abandoning the act while on stage, and returning to the protests just as the police arrive to arrest everyone.
The episode ends with Lois and Peter finding common ground on feminism, both realizing that they can still love and support each other despite their differences.
