In the Family Guy season 2 episode 15 titled "Dammit Janet," the Griffins take a trip to Janet's house to celebrate her graduation from law school. Janet is Peter's former classmate, and the two had a romantic history that Lois is not too thrilled about. Meanwhile, Stewie becomes obsessed with a vacuum cleaner and Brian tries to start a career in stand-up comedy.
The episode begins with Peter and the rest of the family getting ready to go to Janet's graduation party. Lois is not too excited about the idea of spending time with Peter's ex-girlfriend and tries to convince him not to go. However, Peter insists that they need to show their support for Janet, and they set off on the road trip.
As they arrive at Janet's house, they are greeted by her parents, who are eager to meet Peter and the family. Janet's father is a judge and is very proud of his daughter's accomplishments, but he is not too impressed with Peter. He tells Peter that he always knew he would be a loser, and this sets off a series of arguments between the two.
Meanwhile, Stewie becomes obsessed with a vacuum cleaner that he sees in Janet's house. He spends the majority of the episode trying to get his hands on it and even goes as far as to create a plan to steal it. This leads to a series of comical mishaps, as Stewie tries to navigate around Janet's house.
Brian, on the other hand, decides to try his hand at stand-up comedy. He goes to a local open mic night and bombs his set, so he seeks out the advice of his idol, a famous comedian. The comedian tells Brian that he needs to be more honest in his comedy and reveals a personal story that inspires Brian's next set.
As the night wears on, tensions continue to rise between Peter and Janet's father. The two men end up in a physical altercation, and Janet's father threatens to call the police. Just as things are about to get out of hand, Janet reveals that she is engaged to someone else. This news diffuses the situation, and the Griffins leave.
Back at home, Brian performs his new set, which is a hit with the audience. Stewie finally gets his hands on the vacuum cleaner, but it ends up destroying the house. The episode ends with the Griffins sitting in the wreckage of their home, wondering what to do next.
Overall, "Dammit Janet" is a classic episode of Family Guy that is filled with hilarious moments and outrageous situations. The episode manages to balance multiple storylines, all the while delivering some of the show's funniest moments. From Stewie's obsession with the vacuum cleaner to Brian's stand-up comedy journey, this episode has something for everyone.
