In "Cop and a Half-wit," the 15th episode of the 15th season of Family Guy, the Griffin family finds themselves at odds when Peter decides to become a cop. After passing the police academy with ease, Peter becomes too full of himself and begins abusing his power as a law enforcement officer. Meanwhile, Chris gets a job as the new valet at the local country club and quickly befriends a wealthy member who offers to help him start his own business.
As Peter continues to let his newfound authority go to his head, he begins to alienate his family and friends. His wife Lois, who initially supported his decision to become a cop, becomes increasingly frustrated with his behavior and tries to talk sense into him. Meanwhile, his best friend Quagmire is the victim of some of Peter's overzealous policing, leading to an awkward confrontation.
Despite these setbacks, Peter remains convinced that he is the greatest cop ever and continues to put himself in harm's way to prove it. This eventually leads to a dangerous situation where Peter must choose between upholding the law and protecting his family.
Meanwhile, Chris's new friend introduces him to the world of entrepreneurship and encourages him to start his own business. Chris quickly becomes obsessed with the idea and starts neglecting his responsibilities at the country club. This leads to a confrontation with his boss, who fires him on the spot.
With his dream of starting a business in shambles, Chris turns to his family for support. They remind him that he doesn't need to be rich or successful to be happy and that they will always be there for him no matter what.
As the episode comes to a close, Peter must confront the consequences of his actions and make amends with his loved ones. Meanwhile, Chris learns an important lesson about the value of family and true happiness.
