In Family Guy season 11 episode 16, titled Turban Cowboy, Peter becomes a Muslim after seeing a vision of Muhammad. He quickly immerses himself in the religion, praying five times a day and adopting a Muslim name, which leads to some hilarious misunderstandings between himself and his friends and family.
One day, while driving a group of Muslim passengers to the airport, Peter accidentally detonates a bomb in his taxi. In the aftermath, he decides to work for the CIA in order to prevent terrorist attacks. However, his new job comes with its own challenges, as he struggles to balance his devotion to Islam with his duty to his country.
Meanwhile, Stewie befriends a group of preschoolers who turn out to be even more manipulative than he is. And Brian starts dating a blind girl named Kate, but finds it difficult to be sympathetic to her blindness when she proves to be a terrible cook.
Throughout the episode, there are plenty of laughs to be had, as the show pokes fun at both American culture and Muslim stereotypes. But while there are plenty of outrageous jokes and sight gags, there are also moments of genuine heart and poignancy, particularly in the relationship between Brian and Kate.
Overall, Turban Cowboy is a funny and surprisingly touching episode of Family Guy that tackles some weighty issues with the show's signature irreverence and wit. Whether you're a longtime fan of the series or just tuning in for the first time, you're sure to find something to enjoy in this clever and entertaining installment.
