The show Family Business returns for its second season with all new episodes, and episode six is titled "Burrata". In this episode, we catch up with the Hazans, the Jewish family who have delved into the cannabis business in France. This time around, the family is confronted with a new challenge that could potentially cause strife within the clan.
Joseph, the patriarch of the family, is sticking firm with the family tradition of making mozzarella cheese. However, his son Gérard, who is the brains behind the cannabis business, has other ideas. Gérard wants his family to venture into the cheese-making industry with a twist - by infusing the flavour of marijuana into their cheese! Joseph, being the staunch traditionalist that he is, is less than impressed with Gérard's idea and the pair inevitably bicker.
Meanwhile, the family's bakery is struggling, and it's up to Gérard's wife Aure to come up with a way to reinvigorate the business. Aure is inspired by a new, trendy cafe in the neighbourhood that has a unique concept: patrons are allowed to buy a coffee and pay it forward for a stranger who could visit the cafe later on. Aure approaches the idea with gusto and decides to implement it into their bakery.
As the family businesses continue to grow, not everything is smooth sailing. One of their biggest clients threatens to pull out, which could be detrimental to their entire enterprise. With this looming threat, the family has to come together to try and save their marijuana business, especially as Gérard learns that his father is planning to sell his beloved cheese factory.
As well as juggling their businesses, the Hazans also have plenty of personal issues to contend with. The family is grappling with grief after losing a loved one, and as they try to come to terms with their loss, they are forced to confront some uncomfortable truths about themselves and their relationships with one another.
Despite all the drama, the Hazans will stop at nothing to try and succeed in their respective ventures. They may argue and bicker, but they are ultimately a tight-knit family that is committed to overcoming any obstacle that comes their way.
Overall, "Burrata" is an engaging and lively episode that continues to explore the dynamics of this quirky yet lovable family. There is plenty of drama, humour, and heart, making it a must-watch for fans who have been eagerly awaiting the return of Family Business.
