The children soon find themselves trapped inside the house while the witch prepares a pot to cook them in. The two siblings must work together to outsmart the witch and escape before it's too late.

Shelley Duvall plays the role of the Storyteller, who narrates the story and sometimes appears on screen to offer commentary. In addition, the show also features a star-studded cast, including the likes of Cloris Leachman as the Witch, Ricky Schroder as Hansel and Bridgette Andersen as Gretel.
