Blair is feeling unsure about her future career plans, which leads her to contemplate pursuing a completely different path. Meanwhile, Tootie gets a taste of the working world when she takes a job as a waitress at a local diner. One of her customers, an attractive older man named Adam, takes a liking to her and asks her out on a date. Tootie is hesitant at first, but eventually gives in and goes out with Adam. However, things take a complicated turn when Tootie discovers that Adam is actually one of the professors at Langley College, the school she and her friends attend. Unsure of how to proceed, Tootie turns to her friends for guidance as she navigates this new romantic relationship with her much older college professor. Meanwhile, Jo is dealing with her own personal struggles as she grapples with the idea of her estranged father reaching out to her after years of absence. As the girls support each other through their respective challenges, they learn the importance of taking risks and following their hearts when it comes to love and career decisions.
